Dennis lives in a boring house in a boring street in a boring town. But he's about to find out that when you open your mind, life becomes anything but boring! You'll laugh, you'll cry, and once you meet Dennis he'll live with you forever...

I really enjoyed this book. This was my second time reading this for this review. Dennis is a great main character. He is very quiet, but I feel like in this book all his feelings just came bursting out. How, you ask? The clue is in the title. I loved all the characters in this book as they all had their own personalities. I feel like Dennis's dad was very misunderstood and anxious, and his brother was really sad. Walliams' writing style made me laugh out loud at numerous places! One of my favourite quotes from this book is:

"Everybody should be able to wear whatever they like."
- Lisa, page 84

This is completely true, and Dennis does. Lisa, the amazing fashion designer, says the quote. I think everyone should read this book, as it is about being able to do whatever you want to do!

Beautiful People For Writers



Hai guys, today I'm going to be doing the Beautiful People linkup hosted by Cait at Paper Fury and Sky at further up and further in. So, let's get started!

1.What were your writing achievements last year?
To finish my story, Fly On The Wall.

Tell us about your top priority writing project for this year?
The Amazing Un-named Adventures of Granite And Mona. Still doesn't have a name. I'm hoping to finish the first draft of either the first or whole book, I'm not sure if it is a series or not.

List 5 areas you’d like to work the hardest to improve this year.
1. Writing More. I'm using a word counter which you can check out at here.

2. Read More. I mean, I read a lot, but I want to read more.

3. Review more books. This is a thing I love doing and want to do more of.

4. Organise My Writing. I just need to plan, and this plot wall that Ashley G over at [insert title here] was doing really helps.

5. Improve my blogging skills. So I want to improve my blogging and coding skills.

4. Are you participating in any writing challenges?

What’s your critique partner/beta reader situation like and do you have plans to expand this year?
Nope.


Do you have plans to read any writer-related books this year? Or are there specific books you want to read for research?
I don't really know...

7. Pick one character you want to get to know better, and how are you going to achieve this? 
I really want to get to know this character I haven't introduced yet, Jessamine, she's a witch, so her character is very flexible.

Do you plan to edit or query, and what’s your plan of attack?
I love editing, so I'll probably edit.

Toni Morrison once said, “If there’s a book that you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it.”  What are the books that you want to see more of, and what “holes” do you think need filling in the literary world?
I feel like literary really needs more time-travel novels, I LOVE THEM! I feel like that's all.

What do you hope to have achieved by the end of 2016?
Probably finished the Granite story!

To All The Boys I've Loved Before- Book Review

Hai, today I'm going to be doing yet another book review! Sorry about that! Today's review will be To All The Boy's I've Loved Before and it's genre is YA Romance.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.

I really liked this book! The characters were all so nice, apart from MARGOT!!!!! Lara Jean was so likeable and nice, though at one point I got quite angry at her. I for some reason really liked Peter, though I think he was supposed to be annoying. I also think Margot was supposed to be nice. I also feel like sometimes the writing was a bit rushed to get to the point, but overall it was good. I do have some annoyances, as I thought maybe Lara Jean should have gotten with someone else, but it is fine. I'll just go rage in secret. Her letters are also featured in the story, so I think that was great. The end was a really big cliffhanger, which was frustrating. Her friend Chris was so funny, and I liked her alot! Though, of course, this book does have it's ups and downs. Sometimes I didn't agree with Lara Jean's decisions and I feel that she could have made some better ones. But, this book was AMAZING! But like Noor said in her review, which you can see here, this book was a little stereotypical, especially when Lara Jean was concerned.And i found it annoying when she and her sister Margot kept calling their dad 'daddy'. Lara Jean is 17! I felt that Lara Jean was really self confident and thought she was so good. But, overall it was a great book.

Two Wolves- Book Review

Sup guys, today I'll be doing a review of Two Wolves. So, let's get started!

Genre: Action/Adventure

The cover is very intriguing. The cabin in the mist is very mysterious. Wow Rose, way to write! *palms face*. There's really nothing else I can say about it.

Blurb:
One afternoon, police officers show up at Ben Silver’s front door. Minutes after they leave, his parents arrive home. Ben and his little sister Olive are bundled into the car and told they’re going on a holiday. But are they? 

It doesn’t take long for Ben to realise that his parents are in trouble. Ben’s always dreamt of becoming a detective – his dad even calls him ‘Cop’. Now Ben gathers evidence and tries to uncover what his parents have done. 

The problem is, if he figures it out, what does he do? Tell someone? Or keep the secret and live life on the run?

Review Of The Overall Book:
What I found disappointing was that yet again, there was a male hero of this book. I have nothing wrong with this, but for some reason the mother and daughter seemed to be protected a lot and treated like they're not a strong as the boy and man, the mother in particular.  I feel that Ben could have given some of the work to Olive. Ben's father also continuously calls him a 'big girl'. Moving on, it is a great adventure story, filled with mystery. The characters were good, though the ending was a bit sloppy in my view. I felt that Bancks could have tied the ending up a little bit.

Would I Recommend It?
If you like to read mysteries and action/adventure, I would recommend it. Though there is some gender stereotyping, it is a good book.

Writing Books And Waiting

Hai guys, I'm finally writing a book that I'm happy with! I don't know the title yet but here's the summary:

Granite and his best friend Mona have always dreamed of getting out of their village and onto the the Dansed Path, where they begin their journey to The Academy. The Path is a place of danger and mystery. Filled with criminals and monsters, Granite and Mona will have to watch their backs. When the Academy closes under mysterious circumstances, they have to make their way through the city and into the Dark Forest. Will they make it out alive?

I have written 2 chapters and am really excited to see what happens. As I am completely horrible at planning I don't know what will happen. In other news I only have one more week of holidays left before I go back to school and I can't wait! I'm participating in Noor's Winter Book-A-Thon, and you can check it out and enter here. I'm also OBSESSED with Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix, after me and mum finished Nashville :(. All the sadness. Well, I hope you have a fabulous day.

Shopping Haul!

Sup guys, today I'm going to be doing a haul of what I got when I got when I went shopping with my mum. Well, let's get started!

Big W

Big W is a department store for any of you who don't know. I went here with one of my mum's friends because she offered to take me while mum was talking. Here is what I got:
A GIANT DOT-TO-DOT BOOK. It is AMAZING!!! I also got a bar of chocolate, but where do you think that went...

Typo
Typo is a stationery store, by the way. Here is what I got:

I got this AMAZING cat notebook. It's in the style of a magazine and I lava it.

I got this nail polish for a reduced price and I really like the the shade of it!


I got this dress at Myers but it's the only thing I bought from there so I'll put it here. It's a nice shade of dark green.

First World Problems

Sup guys, I know this is pretty late, but I wanted to say I won't be doing the 30 Day Blog Challenge anymore. Anyway, on with the post. Today I cleaned off the desk in my sun room. I wanted to use a desk, but for some idiotic reason, I thought I had to have one in my room. Excuse me, but I need to go swap the office chair with a stool I got as and early birthday present. Done. I went to birthday party on Monday I was so tired on Tuesday my day consisted of sitting around watching wedding and reality shows and watching YouTube. My life is so boring. Well, now I've told you about my 1st World Problems, I bid you goodbye.

I do this immediately when I get on, because I feel that I need to do it.

I do this straight after my email, because I am attention seeking freak.

3. YOUTUBE!
Youtube takes up most of my browsing time because, duh, YOUTUBE.

4. Image searching
I love searching doctor who images, kawaii things and quotes.*goes red with embarrassment* I have a problem.

5. Check My Email
I MUST CHECK MY EMAIL!!!!! I check it SO much.

How To Write A Post Like A Boss

Let's just pretend that you never saw that post I did yesterday. It was a big mess. Now I have gathered my bearings, I'm going to do an actual blog post. This is going to be a how to write a blog post like a BOSS.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! December Goal Recap And New Year's Resolutions

Sup guys, happy 2016! In Australia it is the 1st January 2016. In this post I will be doing my New Year's Resolutions and seeing how I did on my December Goals. Without further ado, let's go!

December Goals
1. Finish my Solar System PowerPoint.We're doing these power points at school and we only have about three weeks left, so I want to finish it by the end of the school year.  Yes, I'm pretty sure I did!

2. Get a leadership role. This is not in my control, but I am hoping to get one! No, I didn't get one, and you can hear my whinging about that here.

3. Get Christmas presents for everyone. Well, hope everyone likes them! I did, and I'm pretty sure everyone likes them! :P

4. Do my guest post for Gypsy Pixie. I still haven't done this so I'm hoping to get it to her by December 16th. Yes, I did it, but I didn't get it to her by December 16th, it was more like the 20th!

New Year's Resolutions
1. Drink more iced coffee! In 2016, as I am in year 6 now, mum and dad will let me drink iced coffee!

2. Brush my hair and teeth more. I sometimes forget to do these things so I want to consistently brush my teeth for 2 minutes twice a day, and brush my hair 100 times a day.

3. Finish my Nelson Mandela project I set myself. This is more of a January goal, so I want to finish it in January.
