Birthday Book Haul

Hai! As it was my birthday party yesterday and my birthday last Tuesday, I received some money, books and vouchers. And guess what I brought with that money? Books! I brought 5 books for $20, one of them free and another for my mum, 3 books I got for presents and 4 I got on a voucher. Attention: I am not bragging in anyway. I am merely showing you what books I got for my birthday and I am SO grateful for everything I got. So, let's get started! Sorry for the quality of the photos, I had to take them on a phone.

  • Almost Sincerely- Zoë Norton Lodge: This is one of my all-time favourite books, and I'm so excited to own it. It is the funniest book ever. I originally got it out of the library and read it but now I have it. *strokes book* MY PRECIOUS.
  • Deep Water- Debi Gliori: So, I got this one from my parents. I am intrigued by it and can't wait to read it. I have another of her books and they are quite interesting reads. Plus, there is a character named Titus, I mean, it's bound to be good.
  • Flora & Ulysses- Kate DiCamillo: I have been wanting to read this for a while now, so I thought I'd give it a try, seeing as it was only $5.
  • Red Queen- Victoria Aveyard: This book looks quite interesting and it will definitely be on my March TBR, I'm planning to read it after I've reread the Hunger Games.
  • The Hunger Games- Suzanne Collins: OK, I have to admit I didn't own this book. Don't get me wrong, most of the books I read are library books but the weird thing was, I owned the last two books of the trilogy as I had read the 1st one at school. I am so happy that I own the whole trilogy now!
  • Heat Stroke- Rachel Caine: I got this as a gift from my good friend Kylie. It looks very interesting, so that's also on my March TBR. How many books are on my March TBR list? 500+.
  • The Thickety #1 A Path Begins- J.A White: I love a story about a forest, and this one looks AMAZING!

  • The Wicked Will Rise- Danielle Paige: Guess who got the sequel to Dorothy Must Die? Rose did. I am so excited. I can't even.
  • Dorothy Must Die Stories: And then guess what the other bookstore had this for $2? This book. It is three prequel novellas all rolled into one book.

  • The Story Of Land And Sea- Katy Simpson Smith: I don't know what to expect. I guess we'll have to wait and sea.
  • The World Is Round- Gertrude Stein: This is the book I talked about with the girl named Rose and her Poodle in my birthday post. Oh and Cait @ Paper Fury is hosting a Mortal Instruments giveaway!
Well, thats all! Have a wonderlandaful day!

World's Greatest Shave 2016

Hai guys, I've decided to do the World's Greatest Shave. Well, I'm actually not shaving my head, but I'm colouring it. It's a great way to help raise money for people with blood cancer. Some of my friends from school are colouring their hair so I'm doing it as well. All you need to do is sign up an get people to sponsor you. You can find my page here.
Have a wonderlandiful day,

Birthday Events

Yay! It's my birthday!  I am officially 11 A.K.A 1+1=2.... Anyways, I just went onto Google and it knew it was my birthday. Kind of creepy if you ask me, but kind of nice. I made cupcakes for my class, with cat faces. It was also our substitute librarian, A.KA my friend's grandma's birthday. I also got to see my little cousin after school. My birthday party is on Saturday, but I'm only inviting 3 people, because my 'party' is just a picnic and a sleepover. I got some AMAZING gifts though. I even got a book about a girl named Rose and her poodle! Coincidence much? I am nearly finished Dorothy Must Die, I reckon it's one of my new favourite books, so that review is coming to you soon. W e are having takeaway Indian, we were going to go to the restaurant but I didn't want to miss one of my favourite shows, MKR (My Kitchen Rules). I a lot of people said Happy Birthday too me. My grandparents gave me some weird assortment of pig ornaments. I have had the best birthday ever and am very grateful for all my presents and day. Have a wonderlandaful day!

February TBR

Hai! Here is my February TBR! 4 of them are library books, and 2 are my own, and all but one are YA.

Dorothy Must Die- Danielle Paige
I am so happy I got this out of the library! Ever since I discovered this book I've wanted to read it.
Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones- Cassandra Clare
I have read the 1st and 2nd book of the Infernal Devices and decided to read this series. Again, I got it out of the library.
Touch Of Power- Maria V. Snyder
My friend had read this and it looks really interesting, and I for some reason have gotten quite a lot of fantasy out of the library.

Skullduggery Pleasant: Dark Days
I have had this on my shelf for a month, so I have finally decided to read it! I got it for $3 at a bargain book store on the main street of my town.

The Kensington Reptilarium- N.J Gemmell
Sorry, I couldn't get this above the book cover. I won this as an award at my schools presentation day assembly for academic achievement. I have had it for about 2 months now.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my February TBR. My birthday is in 5 days!

I don't know what to call this post and can't be bothered to put caps

Sup guys, sorry I haven't posted in a while, school was finishing, I had choir practice and I had no idea what to post about. Actually, as I'm writing this, I still have no idea! I would just like to say that, as you know that I was ranting on about how I was hoping to get a leadership position, I didn't get it. I wasn't that sad when I got told that I didn't get it, but on Presentation Day (which is where we get or end of year awards), I got really sad during maths. I don't know why, I should have been happy, my best friend got school captain! I was scared every on was gonna be like:

But, it wasn't all bad. I think it was a day afterwards but my friend asked me to do sound with him next year, which is really exciting. A few days afterwards I was then chosen to do computer instead of sound, and I was like:

The reason I'm so excited is because I'm the first girl at school to do sound or computer! By The Way: I'm not bragging in anyway. Well, I hope you enjoyed this post, Merry December!

P.S Bring Back Wilf!

D.I.Y Christmas Baubles

Sup guys, today I'm going to be doing a Christmas DIY! Let's get started!

What you'll need:

6 Baubles (Any colour, but a light colour would be better.)
Acrylic Paints (Black, Red, Orange, White)
Paintbrush
1 Cup of Water
Some Napkins
Cat Bauble

Step 1:
Squeeze your black paint into a pan, or container. I just used a container that came with the paints.

 Step 2:
Then, get a silver bauble. (doesn't have to be silver.)
Step 3:
Dip your paintbrush in the black paint and paint ears, a nose, eyes and whiskers on it. Voila! Koen. Now just leave it to dry.

Dog Bauble

Step 1:
You'll need your black paint again for this one. Get yet another silver bauble (doesn't have to be silver). Paint ears, a nose, a mouth and eyes.

Step 2:
Turn to the back of the bauble and paint a little tail. Done! Leave to dry.

Snowflake Bauble

Step 1:
Squeeze some white paint out onto your pan and get a light blue bauble.

Step 2:
Dip your paintbrush into the white paint and paint a snowflake on it. Remember, every snowflake is unique, so there is no wrong snowflake. There you have it! Leave to dry.

Snowman Bauble

Step 1:
Squeeze some orange paint onto the pan, because you should have some white and black paint left. Now, get another blue bauble.

Step 2:
Paint 3 circles on top of each other, getting bigger each time. Then, either wait until dry, or not, paint 2 eyes and 3 buttons in black paint, and 1 carrot nose in orange. And you're done! Leave to dry.

Mockingjay Bauble

This next bauble is based on the Hunger Games trilogy.

Step 1:
Squeeze some red paint onto your pan. Then, get a silver bauble.

Step 2:
Paint your Mockingjay bird in red, surrounded by an orange circle and red flames. And your done! Leave to dry.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this DIY, I'm going to see Mockingly part 2 tonight so I might review it.
May The Odds Be Ever In Your Favour,
Rose :3

500 Blog Views!

Well, it's Looking A Bit Mitty just reached 500 blog views! I think some/most of them are mine, because it counts me viewing it, but still! Well, that was all, and I'm sorry I keep on changing my profile name, but I just can't decide. Well, that's all folks and I'll leave you with this:

P.S what do you think of my drawing? I did it on Sketchbook (which is a drawing app) so the writing's a bit messy.

Abnormal Posting Disorder Diagnosed By Dr. Doge

So I know it is probably abnormal to blog 3 times in one day but I am so incredibly bored. Just let me check the time. 3:14 PM. I have survived one weekday without school. And let me tell you it's been a bumpy ride. But, I've done it! So I'll probably have to tell you why my profile name is Joshua Rose. That is because my Best friends and I all have boy names. See, my real name is Rose so that's why Rose is at the end. Some of the other names of the group are: Jimmy. Well now that i think of it only two of us have nicknames, the other two are jezzebear and just a normal name. But now you see we have yet another set of nicknames: Fish (me), Emu, Shiba Inu and Milkshake. And have you heard of Doge. Well if you haven't. Cutest. Dog. Ever. Well, that's all folks so I will leave you with a picture of Doge:

New Blog

So, my last blog wasn't that successful but with this one I hope things are looking up. Not many of you, if anyone actually reads this, would know I had a blog before, it was called 'It's Review Time!' and I reviewed stuff, like Monster High Dolls and the Ruby Redfort book series. Plus I started that blog when I was 8, so I didn't really know what I was doing. Update: I'm surrounded by meowing hail!!!!!!! Sorry I went into meltdown because the hail was beating on the windows. It's stopped now, but let me tell you it was a very frightening experience. It's not out of the ordinary either, because where we live in the Blue Mountains it gets really cold. I mean really cold. And you think in Australia it's all sun and beaches and surf boards and some 'shrimps on a barbie' which is weird seeing as we call shrimps prawns but, getting back to the point it is definitely not. Well, at least not where I live. Update: A flash of lightening just struck like a millimetre from our house, well maybe thats exaggerating but it was really close. As you can see we are in the middle of a storm. Anyway, you're probably wondering why on Gallifrey my blog is called 'It's Looking A Bit Mitty!', well that is because when I was 2 or 3 (probably 2) I proclaimed one day that it was 'very mitty today' which apparently describes perfectly where I live, wait does that make sense, I'm not sure but I hope you get what I mean. So, your probably wondering why I'm not at school on a Monday. Well that is because of a........CHICKEN POX EPIDEMIC!!! But heres the catch, I don't actually have chicken pox, though some of my poor friends do 😰. My mum is convinced I have it because I have a sniffle. And the bad thing is we are going over seas in 3 weeks so I can't have chicken pox on a 21 or something hour flight now can I? The worst thing is, this week was full. Today I was meant to sing on the radio, tomorrow I was or am going to perform at the Nepean Blue Mountains Dance Festival, Wednesday it was or is the book parade and the audition with my band, The EERA of 54 for a special performance at the Upper Blue Mountains Choral Festival, Thursday I had nothing which I find is a disappointment and on Friday I had debating at Wentworth Falls and then the zoo camp with the Girl Guides. So as you will find out by the next emojis I am feeling mixed emotions: 😔 😭 😡. So, yeah, I think that's all, but I'll probably post again because I'm really bored, but for now, I'll leave you with this:

PS: ended up the emotions can't be shown sorry!
